What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a science based profession which takes a whole person approach to health and wellbeing. Physiotherapists help restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability. We help people through movement and exercise, manual therapy, electrotherapy, education and advice. At the core is your involvement in your own care through education, awareness and participation in your own treatment and management.

What to expect?
Please dress comfortably for your appointments. Make sure that you have the appropriate clothing for
the condition that you are seeing us about. Ideally bring shorts for back or lower limb conditions.
You will be required to complete new patient paperwork if it is your first time to the clinic, which will be filled out prior to your initial appointment. You should therefore allow adequate time for this.
Your initial evaluation will normally last 45 minutes. This will allow the therapist to establish your main problem, set your goals in place and start treatment.
Follow Up Appointments
These will last from 30 minutes upwards depending on the condition being treated and your needs. Your therapist will guide you regarding the length of time that is appropriate for you.
